A global leader in OEM manufacturing of medical devices for minimally invasive surgery is in the process of opening operations in Costa Rica and is seeking to hire Production Supervisors to become part of the founding team of its manufacturing plant.

This position will play a key role in ensuring the efficient execution of production processes, compliance with the highest quality and safety standards, and the development of high-performing teams within a regulated, world-class industrial environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Technical training in Production, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.

• Advanced technical education or equivalent to a specialized technician / industrial engineer is desirable.

• Previous experience in supervisory or leadership roles within manufacturing environments.

• Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics) is highly desirable.

• Strong hands-on operational leadership, decision-making capability, effective communication, results orientation, and the ability to perform with sound technical judgment in high-demand environments.

Knowledge and Skills

• Industrial production processes and manufacturing workflows.

• Quality, safety, and process control standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Functional English or German is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of the production process during the assigned shift, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

• Lead and assign operational staff, promoting performance, order, and operational discipline.

• Supervise the safe and efficient operation of machines and equipment, including post-adjustment release.

• Monitor process and product quality, managing non-conformities and blocking defective products when required.

• Drive continuous improvement of production processes and manufacturing methods.
